If you can make it through the bog and then it suddenly roars to life thats also a really big confirmation as well. Problems with the spark.
If the the Fuel Ratio Mixture screw has no effect then the PILOT jet and or its PASSAGE are clogged.
Problems with fuel flow. If you can start and idle fine but slowly rolling on the throttle bogsdies thats the culprit. Take the PILOT JET out and make sure you can see light through it.
Then with the JET still out stick the Thin straw into where the Pilot Jet screws into and spray. Have you or the neighbor kid done a full PDI on it. The pilot jet operates up to a particular RPM then the main jet takes over.
If playback doesnt begin shortly try restarting your device. The pilot jet shuts off at th. You might want to try unplugging the parking brake sensor it helped me.
A carburetor has two jets to feed fuel to the engine. I would start with checking fuel flow as well as the fuel level in the tank. Videos you watch may be.
Problems with the carburetor. 50cc Chinese Scooter dies when I give it gas. It is located on the clutch lever it is the top wire that is closest to you while you are sitting.
Okay it sounds like fuel starvation. Looks like the problem is with your main jet. If the tank is venting properly and fuel flowing well to the carburetor Id clean the carb.
Weedeater starts but dies. They are the Pilot Jet and the Main Jet. Opened up the carb again after this test.
If you give it any throttle especially if you gun it it will either jump the rpms to just a little more than idle rpms and then actually decrease rpms until it stalls or if you let off the throttle it stablizes. Problems with valve clearance. There is usually a special one-way valve in the fuel tank cap that allows the air to come in to the top of the fuel.
If i go start it right now 10 times in a row 9 of those times it will do this when you give it gasthe other time i can ride it about 50 ft and it will seem all okay then it will bog just like normal. This can be caused by a faulty petcock or vacuum leak bad hoses clogged fuel filter stuck float any of which could also be exasperated by low quality gas. If your scooter starts but wont rev or run well there are basically five most probable areas of trouble.
With a gravity feed fuel system a clogged gascap vent or misroutedto long of a fuel line are common culprits especially as the fuel level gets lower in the tank. The lil guy will start up just fine but then either dies right away or will stay idling till I go on the throttle then it just dies. Id suggest you start there as there may be other gremlins waiting to hatch that you could exterminate.
I think the main jet on the carb might have been clogged. I just got my warrior about 3 months ago and it was doing something similar it would idle good but then as soon as you gave it any gas it bogged down really bad and you could barely give it enough gas to get it into gear without stalling. The petcockthe needlethe bowl or could just be a bad vaccuum.
Another common cause of bogging down can be the fuel tank cap. You said you bought the scooter new. Fix your equipment in your garage at home.
You could just be trickling just enough fuel in there to idle and draining the bowl instantly as soon as you rev it. Let it idle for a few before turning the throttle and just turn it really slowif it still keeps dying then it could be a few things depending on how long it has sat. My bike starts but stutters or cuts out or dies for no reason.
When these valves fail to work the fuel cant leave the fuel tank because it creates a vacuum lock as theres no air coming in to replace the lost fuel. Just got my brand new Eagle 50 scooter from Green Earth Scooters I changed the oil first thing filled the gas tank and double checked all my nuts and bolts. Get a can of Carb Cleaner they come with a thin long straw.
If playback doesnt begin shortly try restarting your device. This is a classic and very obvious clogged pilot jet.
